And just four short days after an impressive outing against D-Generation X on Raw, David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd once again lived up to it all. In a tremendous performance against the explosive Cryme Tyme – capped off by Hart Smith’s Saito Bomb on a distracted Shad – the pink and black warriors demonstrated the legendary tag team skills inherited from the likes of The Hart Foundation and The British Bulldogs.

Despite practically trying to dismantle one another at Survivor Series in a Triple Threat WWE Title Match, Triple H and Shawn Michaels reestablished their bond, understanding their actions the night before were in the heat of competition. Once they put bygones behind them, they quickly found their groove while facing off against The Hart Dynasty. While Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith looked to be in top shape and gave the DX duo a bit of a scare, the veterans pulled out the victory.

Tyson Kidd def. Rey Mysterio by Disqualification
While Batista emanated silent intimidation from the broadcast table, Mysterio went round and round with Tyson Kidd. But seconds after The Animal cost his former comrade-in-arms the match by disqualification, the masked Superstar found an opening to dish out another humiliating hit-and-run attack on the Superstar he once called a brother. A completely enraged Batista failed to catch Mysterio and was left with nothing but egg on his face for the second week in a row.

Will Mysterio’s actions be his undoing at Survivor Series as the two former World Champions collide?

The first ladies

Natalya was rolling around on the mats of the legendary Hart Dungeon from the time she was in diapers, so it should come as no surprise that the third-generation Diva selected four of the most talented female ring warriors of all time for her squad.

“I’d pick Trish Stratus,” Natalya said, favoring a fellow Canadian Diva. “I think that she brings everything to the ring as far as strength, beauty, power, grace and poise. And I’d pick the person I respect the most as far as females today — Beth Phoenix.”

With two strong, modern-era Divas on her side, Natalya added a WWE Hall of Famer to the mix. “Then I’d pick Sensational Sherri, because she has so much charimsa, so much energy. Plus, she has a couple of extra things up her sleeve.”

“And I’d pick Manami Toyota,” Natalya said, showing respect for the legendary Japanese star. “She’s one of the greatest female wrestlers of our time. I think she’d bring a worldy skill to the team and we could get a different flavor of ice cream.”

Natalya def. Mickie James
Thanks to the treacherous actions of Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla, Natalya triumphed over Mickie James. Just as it looked as if Mickie was gaining the upper hand over The Hart Dynasty Diva, the devious duo appeared, proceeding to destroy Mickie’s ring attire. Natalya used the distraction to lock in the excruciating Sharpshooter, giving her opponent no choice but to submit.

How will things continue to heat up as Team Mickie prepares to face Team Michelle at Survivor Series?

Matt Hardy def. David Hart Smith
Just six days after being viciously assaulted by Batista on SmackDown, Matt Hardy had to face The Hart Dynasty’s most brutish competitor, David Hart Smith, and surprised the third-generation Superstar with a roll-up for the win. Throughout the bout, Smith wreaked havoc on his opponent using his power to dominate much of the match, but Hardy’s “never say die” attitude kept him fighting. After being frustrated by his colleague’s several near-falls, Tyson Kidd attempted to get involved, but the distraction backfired with the referee ejecting Kidd & Natalya from ringside, allowing Hardy to roll Smith up for the three-count.
