Chris Jericho def. Unified Tag Team Champion David Hart Smith
When Chris Jericho was drafted to Monday nights, the self-important Superstar quickly gravitated toward the one man whose sense of self rivals his own: United States Champion The Miz. Once aligned, the “Screaming Egos” immediately formulated a plan to capture the Unified Tag Team Titles from The Hart Dynasty.

Consider them one step closer after Jericho faced off against David Hart Smith in singles competition. Thanks to a Jericho victory, he and Miz will now receive a Unified Tag Team Title Match at Over the Limit.

Unified Tag Team Champion Tyson Kidd def. United States Champion The Miz in a Non-Title Match
Unlike his opponent, Tyson Kidd let his actions do the talking. Kidd avenged his partner’s earlier loss to Chris Jericho by defeating Jericho’s partner, United States Champion The Miz. Kidd’s win earned a title match for one member of The Hart Dynasty next Monday night.

As The Hart Dynasty – including Kidd, David Hart Smith and Natalya – celebrated, Miz smugly informed them that the contract stipulates that were he to lose, he would get to choose which member of the Hart family he will compete against. His decision? Next Monday night in Toronto, the United States Champion will defend his title against WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hit Man” Hart!

Hart Dynasty def. Unified Tag Team Champions Show-Miz
It must have been a bittersweet night for Big Show & The Miz. While Bret Hart made good on his agreement with the Unified Tag Team Champions and proclaimed that they were “the greatest tag team of all time,” the time also came for them to prove it.

After defeating Show-Miz the night before at Extreme Rules to earn a title opportunity, The Hart Dynasty squared off against The Mountain & The Mouth. With Natalya and The “Hit Man” looking on, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith toppled the duo to capture the Unified Tag Team Titles.

All talk and no Hart for Show-Miz
By: Kevin Powers
April 25, 2010

BALTIMORE – The overconfidence of Unified Tag Team Champions Show-Miz would ultimately lead to their downfall as The Hart Dynasty defeated the championship pair in an impromptu Tag Team Gauntlet Match and earned a title opportunity on Raw’s three-hour Draft event.

With the support of WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, who was on hand for Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith’s Extreme Rules triumph, The Hart Dynasty finally earned the opportunity of a lifetime that has escaped them since the night after WrestleMania.

It began when The “Hit Man’s” farewell to the WWE Universe was interrupted by Show-Miz, who disparaged Bret and the Hart family. The champions reluctantly accepted a challenge from The Hart Dynasty, but would lose via intentional count-out.

A few weeks later, The Excellence of Execution objected to Show-Miz’s declaration that they are greatest tag team of all time, however, when David Hart Smith failed to earn a title opportunity against The Miz, “The Awesome One” demanded that Bret Hart himself declare the Unified Tag Champs as the greatest tag team ever.

At Extreme Rules, with Big Show & The Miz demanding competition, SmackDown General Manger Teddy Long ordered Show-Miz into action against a tag team of his choosing. If his tag team defeated the Unified Tag Champs, they’d earn the opportunity to challenge Show-Miz for the tag titles the next night on Raw.

Upset, The Miz berated SmackDown’s General Manager. Long was certainly not in the mood for “The Awesome One’s” big mouth and added another team to the mix, creating a Tag Team Gauntlet Match.

The Gauntlet Match started with a WrestleMania rematch as John Morrison & R-Truth were the first challengers for The Miz & Big Show. Similar to their clash at The Showcase the Immortals, the Unified Tag Champs were victorious. However, at Extreme Rules, and thanks to The Miz’s big mouth, their victory only led them to their next opponents: MVP & Mark Henry. While Big Show & The Miz managed to defeat their second challengers, they were exhausted with one tag team left to go.

The third and final tandem would be The Hart Dynasty, accompanied by Bret Hart. The fatigued Show-Miz was no match for the fresh and eager Hart Dynasty, who took advantage of the situation and quickly defeated the champions to earn a Unified Tag Team Championship opportunity on Raw.

With Raw’s three-hour Draft sure to shake up WWE, will The Hart Dynasty’s momentum against the tag champions result in a Unified Tag Team Title change as well? Can Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith join the likes of The Hart Foundation and the British Bulldogs as holders of championship gold?

Rey Mysterio & The Hart Dynasty def. CM Punk, Luke Gallows and Darren Young
Following NXT Rookie Darren Young’s victory over Luke Gallows on Tuesday night (watch), CM Punk brought his followers together to face Rey Mysterio and The Hart Dynasty in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. With Unified Tag Team and United States Champion The Miz joining the broadcast table, Rey Mysterio dialed-up the 619 on Punk from around the ring post, paving the way for David Hart Smith to hit a running powerslam on the self-proclaimed “savior” for the win.

Unified Tag Team Champion The Miz def. David Hart Smith
In England, home of black pudding, jellied eels and blood sausage, even the Brits can’t stomach The Miz. The Unified Tag Team Champion was showered with boos after proclaiming himself and partner Big Show the “greatest tag team of all time.” Even WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart emerged to confront The “Cleveland Screamer’s” claims before inviting out The Hart Dynasty – Natalya, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith – who had defeated the champions two weeks prior.

Hart proposed a match between Miz and Smith with the stipulation that if Smith won, The Hart Dynasty would receive a Unified Tag Team Title Match at Extreme Rules. If Miz won, however, The “Hit Man” would be forced to proclaim Show-Miz the greatest tag team of all time next week on Raw.
